Churros is always a comfort food anytime of the day. It may seem difficult to make but it's just a piece of cake to do really! Here is a recipe to follow to make a delicious home made churros.

Ingredients
1 cup water
1/4 cup butter
1 Tbsp sugar
1/4 tsp salt
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 egg
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Oil, for frying
For coating
1/2 cup granulated sugar
3/4 tsp ground cinnamon
Instructions
For the coating, mix 1/2 cup sugar and cinnamon in a shallow bowl, set aside.
Heat oil in a large pot or deep skillet over medium-high heat. While oil is heating, prepare batter.
In separate bowl, add water, butter, sugar and salt then bring to a boil over medium-high heat.
Add flour and reduce heat to medium-low. Cook and stir constantly with a spatula until mixture comes together and is smooth (some lumps in it are fine).
Transfer mixture to a large mixing bowl, let cool for 5 minutes.
Add egg and vanilla in the mixture then mix thoroughly until it comes together.
Transfer to a 16-inch piping bag fitted with a rounded star tip.

8. Carefully pipe into the preheated oil, then cut the end using clean scissor.
9. Fry each side for about 2 mins then transfer in paper towel and roll into the cinnamon-sugar mix. Serve with any sweet sauce desired.
10. Repeat the process with remaining dough.
